HAVE A BABY THEY SAID! YOU SHOULD EXPAND YOUR FAMILY THEY SAID! I WILL BE THERE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY THEY SAID! LET ME TELL YOU WHAT THEY DIDN'T SAY!
People are so excited when you get pregnant and when you have a new baby but nobody tells you all the things that come along with being pregnant or a first time parent. Well let me help out all those soon to be parents and give other parents a good laugh.
First off let me tell you when everyone tells you to get as much sleep while you are pregnant that is the ABSOLUTE truth! Girl you are about to be exhausted and so in love at the same time. I remember being so sleepy but I would just stare at my daughter for hours and as soon as I would try to fall asleep it was time for a feeding, I needed to pump, cook dinner, do laundry, clean up the house, change diapers, wash bottles, or something else in between. Your days begin to run together but everything moves so quickly. Your baby grows up so fast that your head will spin! Cherish every moment like it is your last because it probably will be the last time your baby is that still, quiet, attentive, and listens completely.
Take as many pictures as possible. Do your monthly pictures to track babies growth. Not only is this a fun thing to do but your baby will appreciate it in the long run. I remember sitting down with my mom and looking at baby pictures not believing that it was me. Due to the pandemic, nothing about having a newborn has been normal. My delivery was typical but after we got home and settled everything started picking up. Mask were now mandatory, thousands of people were dying daily and to be honest, I WAS SCARED! I do not want my baby getting sick, I cant get sick because I'm her mother plus I am nursing. My husband cant get sick because he is the man of the house. He is the breadwinner. All of these thoughts are normal especially being a first time parent.
We do not know what the future holds with COVID-19 so taking pictures and talking to family as much as possible on
